the MISSION

My mission is to create genderless wearable art for inspiring people; including those with disabilities, marginalized groups, and the LGBTQ+ community. I aim to produce these pieces in a way that protects human rights in the fashion supply chain and values natural preservation and environmental restoration.

the designer

My career in fashion started 10 years ago, when I started my career in fashion writing and marketing/web design. At the time, I knew nothing of sustainability, ethics, or how the industry operated, and was inspired solely by my love of fashion and how it can be a gateway to expression.

A year after I started, it hit me. While shopping for a fast-fashion fit for a blog shoot, I saw the back room of a major fast-fashion retailer. Thousands of garments spilling from the floors and shelves, making it barely possible to walk. That’s when I thought, “That’s a lot of clothes, yet the racks are always full… Where do the unsold goods go? Where do the returns go?” That spark of curiosity catapulted me into what has now become my career. I wanted to understand how brands get in our heads and live there rent-free without making us question their decisions.

I studied Marketing & Comms at BCIT, Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard Business School, and took a myriad of certifications within the ethics, supply chain, and environmental justice sectors in fashion to deeply understand the problems and find solutions. In 2021, after a year of spearheading the marketing efforts at a fabric wholesale company, I dove head first into self-employment and created Naturspired® Media Inc. and The Naturspired® Podcast, where I interview sustainability leaders and discuss important topics that require attention.

Towards the end of 2022, I finally began designing garments. My beliefs were strongly routed in not creating anything until I could do it sustainably. Now, after nearly a decade, I’m just getting started.

I am currently a freelance web designer, fashion designer and I’m on a mission to inspire action through informative content and genderless fashion. I’m open to collaborations and working on impact-focused projects. Feel free to get in touch to discuss more!
